Fig21b is the vehicle I have used to provide various creative services
including Conceptual Thinking, Art Direction and Graphic Design..
I’m an ex-pat Northerner that has lived and worked in London since 2001; before that I studied for a BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design at Falmouth College of Arts (now Falmouth University). My career has seen me work both at home and abroad for a fantastic range of clients; from some of the biggest organisations in the world to exciting start-up companies and everything in-between.
My passion lies in helping a client realise their potential through branding, marketing and the creative process. For me there is nothing more enjoyable than working and collaborating to answer the question, ‘What is your perspective and how do you want to communicate this to the world?’ and then finding the best solution to assist in doing just that. The solution could be as grand as a full company re-brand or a through-the-line marketing and advertising campaign; but equally it could be as simple as flyer or series of posters strategically placed to spread a message.
But what about Matt Rothwell the person?
Well I try and constantly keep drawing as I think it’s vital to be able to communicate my ideas with a pencil and a bit of paper. I do this by keeping a comic diary called ‘Grey Side of Life’ and although I have not made any serious moves to promote this I have had a few strips published.
What else? I enjoy a game of Squash, a trip to a decent cinema and watching non-league football – but rarely at the same time.
